This is a public reference tool, not a clinical system. Do not type patient names, dates of birth, record numbers or any other identifying detail into the search box.

What this site collects

ICDcodes.org has no user accounts, no login, and no advertising. There is nothing to sign up for and no profile is built about you.

Search queries. A search is sent to the server to look up matching codes and is used only to return results. Queries are not associated with an identity.
Standard server logs. The hosting provider records ordinary request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent — for security and reliability. This is normal web hosting behaviour and is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
Email you send us. If you contact us or report an error, we keep your message and address in order to reply and to track the correction.

What this site does not do

No advertising, ad networks, or ad personalisation.
No selling or sharing of personal information.
No cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or advertising cookies.
No collection of health information about you.

Cookies

The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. If a preference such as a theme choice is stored, it is kept in your own browser’s local storage, stays on your device, and is never transmitted to us.

Analytics

No third-party analytics are installed at the time of writing. If privacy-respecting analytics are added later, this page will be updated before they go live and the provider will be named here.

Third parties

The site is served by a hosting provider that processes requests on our behalf. Links to CMS, the CDC and other external sites are provided for reference; those sites have their own privacy practices and are not covered by this policy.

Your rights

Because no account or profile exists, there is generally no personal data held about you beyond server logs and any email you have sent. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to contact@icdcodes.org and it will be removed.

Children

This site is a professional reference tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be noted on the changelog as well as by updating the date at the top of this page.
