Do not send patient information
This is not a secure channel and it is not HIPAA-compliant. Never include patient names, dates of birth, record numbers, or any protected health information in an email. Describe the coding question in general terms instead.
Found a data error?
Use the error report page instead — it explains what to include so the problem can be traced quickly. Data errors are triaged ahead of everything else.
Suggest a feature
Suggestions from people who code for a living are the most useful input this project gets. Particularly welcome:
- A lookup or comparison the site makes harder than it should be
- A signal you check elsewhere that ought to be on the code page
- Data in the official release that is not surfaced yet
- A workflow you currently do by hand that could be automated

How a signal is computed is documented in the editorial policy, and the exact source files are listed under data sources. If something there is unclear or looks wrong, that is worth an email — contact@icdcodes.org.
What this inbox cannot do
- Tell you which code to use. That depends on the provider’s documentation, which we cannot see and are not qualified to interpret.
- Advise on a denial or appeal. Coverage decisions are between you and the payer.
