Check your codes against FY2027
Paste a superbill, a favourites list, an EHR export or an AI-generated list of codes. Every code is checked against the official FY2027 release and you get back the ones you can no longer submit — with what replaces them.
The change that costs money is the quiet one
A deleted code fails loudly: your clearinghouse rejects it as invalid and somebody investigates. A subdivided code fails silently — it stays in the classification, still resolves in every lookup, and simply starts being denied for specificity. FY2027 has 15 of these alongside 15 outright deletions.
What gets checked
- Deleted — removed from the code set entirely.
- No longer billable — subdivided this year into more specific codes.
- Not billable — a header code that was never submittable.
- Trips Medicare edit 20 — CMS lists the code as unspecified where a laterality-specific code exists.
- Not recognised — not a valid ICD-10-CM diagnosis code in any year we hold, which usually means a transcription error or a procedure code.
Checking codes an AI gave you
Language models are trained on data with a cutoff, so a model trained before mid-2026 cannot know the FY2027 changes and will confidently return codes that were valid in an earlier year. They also invent codes that have never existed. Pasting a generated list here will catch both.
